Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has confirmed the nomination of General Paul Tarfa (rtd) from Adamawa State for re-appointment as the Chairman of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), representing the North East geo-political zone.
The Red Chamber also approved the reappointment of Mohammed Goni Alkali from Borno State (North East) as the Managing Director of the commission, and Musa Yashi from Bauchi, also North East, as the Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs.
The appointments of new nominees confirmed are Ahmed AbdulSalam Yahaya from Gombe as the Executive Director, Operations and Dr. Abubakar Garba Iliya from Yobe, as the Executive Director, Administration and Finance.
The Senate’s confirmation followed their nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
