A Coalition of Pro-Democracy Groups for A Better Nigeria, an umbrella body of hundreds of youths’ and students’ organisations within and outside the country, has described the possibility of a coup d’etat in Nigeria as a day dream of opposition in the country.

The National Coordinator of the Coalition, Comrade AWA Bamiji, spoke while reacting to a reported Press Conference in Mali, threatening President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with impending Malian Military Coup In Nigeria (MMCIN), should the Chairman of ECOWAS allowed members of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to invade Republic of Niger.

The full text of the Coalition’s statement reads:

Our attention has been fully drawn to the news of the Press Conference in Mali, yesterday, threatening Mr President of impending Malian Military Coup In Nigeria (MMCIN), should he allow members of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) under his Chairmanship invade Republic of Niger with their ECOMOG Soldiers, in order to restore constitutional order, reportedly held by the Malian Head of Junta, Colonel Assimi Goita, in geniune solidarity with his Counterpart in Niger, Brigadier General Abdourahamane Tichiani, being fake & the handiwork of dirty thinking members of Opposition in Nigeria.

We have enough and mouth watering evidences to show that this fake news originated from a particular political Party in Nigeria out of the 2 major Parties that are Court over the result of Presidential election but as Master Strategists of Decades, we won’t say anything beyond this until after the Tribunal judgement. May God spare our lives, Amen!

Then, we will hand over these evidences to the Department of State Security (DSS) to allow them commence legal action against them because it’s treasonable felony. As patriotic Citizens, we should ask ourselves, how do we get to this ridiculous stage?

For the fact that every member of Junta will always wish every member of Opposition globally similar fate that befell his or her own Democracy gave credence to the rumoured Press Briefing.

Therefore, we own no one apology among the 6 military dictators heading their individual Governments in those Countries of West Africa until they restore Democracies in their respective Countries.

Electorate, as Owner of mandate, all over the World refuse to be cowed or intimidated by “men in khakhi” when it comes to “let our votes count”. “A word is enough for the Wise.”
