Groups Release Details of Scheduled South West Summit on Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, Sustainability of Current Dispensation

The preparation is now in top gear by the Yoruba Patriots’ Movement and Coalition of Several Civil Society Organisations to organise the South West Summit which will deliberate on topical issues.

The event, according to the groups, was scheduled as follows:

The topic of the Summit “A call for Military Takeover by Opposition: It’s Time for Democrats To Stand And Defend Democracy” will be delivered by erudite Scholar, Emeritus Prof Olu Aina

2) Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu I, Oluwo of Iwoland
3) Oba Saheed Eleghusi, Eleghusi of Eghusiland, Lagos State

5) Honourable Bayo Aina, Secretary, Yoruba Leaders of Thought, Ekiti State

The Special Guest of Honour is Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, while Guests of Honour are Southwest States’ Governors and Ministers. The Special Guests are Southwest Senators, Federal Honourables and Honourable Speakers of 6 Southwestern States.

Royal fathers of the day are Their Imperial Majesties, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife; Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, Alake of Egbaland; Oba (Dr) Senator Mahud Olalekan Balogun Ali Okunmade II, Olubadan of Ibadanland; Oba Rilwan Akiolu I, Oba of Lagos; Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi Odundun II, Deji of Akure and Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejuigbe, Ewi of Ado – Ekiti.

It will hold on Monday, 11 March, 2024, inside International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, by 10am prompt.

  1. DISABILITY INCLUSION LEFT OUT

    While the aggregate of erudition is well represented in the list of honours to be paraded at the event, representatives of the less privileged previledged are conspicuously left out

    Let me suggest a few.

    People like Mrs. Dr. Toyin Aderemi, Evangelist Olu Kayode or ddr.Folorunsho Kabir DAODU, DVM could be very suitable to feature for the less privileged, having done well enough without any invitation in matters that affect all of us.

    Missing them out, may be a pointer to missing out on things that matter most: DISABILITY INCLUSION.
