New ALGON National President Hon Maifata Condoles NUJ Over Sudden Demise Of Ejikeme Ude

The newly elected National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon Aminu Mu’azu Maifata has sent his condolence message to members of the fourth Estate of Realm under the auspicies of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), national and the FCT Council over the sudden death of one of their colleagues, Ejikeme Ude.

In a statement personally signed by him on behalf of the National Executive Council (NEC), the Board of Trustees (BOT), and the Management of ALGON, he said, “I have just received the news of the passage of one of your frontline correspondent and a member of the NUJ FCT Council Ejikeme Ude.

“On behalf of NEC, the BOT and Management of ALGON, I present our heart felt condolences.

“I am particularly saddened to know that Ejikeme Ude was such an exceptional reporter whose efforts during his lifetime was not only impactful but of dedicated professional background.

“Let me use this medium to commiserate with the NUJ leadership, FCT and national, as well as his family and the entire people of Agwu Local Government Area of Enugu State where he came from”, Hon. Maifata said.

The ALGON National President solemnly espoused and prayed God, that while his skills and impactful journalism will be missed, to pardon his shortcomings to meet with his creator unhindered.

“May Ude Ejikeme’s death serve as another opportunity for members of the press as the watch-do-of-Nigeria society to rightfully discharge their onerous responsibility as professional calling without fear or favour”.

“To Comrades Chris Isiguzo, the NUJ national President; and Patrick Osaretin Osadebamwen, the FCT Council Chairman, kindly accept the deep condolences of ALGON, and looking forward to a more prosperous working relationship” the National President concluded.
