Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural group has said that its leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, is alive. This is just as the Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths) has dispelled the rumoured death of the 96 year-old leader.
social media reports that the elderstatesman has passed on.

Media sources quoted a Personal Assistant to Adebanjo, simply identified as Emmanuel, and the Secretary General of Afenifere, the socio-cultural group, Sola Ebisieni, as dismissing the rumour, insisting that he was asleep at the time of the enquiry.

Ebisieni confirmed that papa is hale and hearty, stressing that they were together last night.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen”, said “Baba is not 90 but 96, which he celebrated in April, to start with.
