In a remarkable display of political solidarity, the Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State chapter, has issued a clarion call to all political factions to unite under the leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. The coalition’s plea, articulated during their monthly general meeting on June 10, 2024, is a response to divisive rhetoric and aims to foster a collaborative environment conducive to the state’s progress.

The CRPP in a statement signed by CRPP Enugu State, Coordinator, Chief Innocent Ezeoha; Chairman, Dr. Afam Ani; and the Secretary, Barr. Ken Ikeh, came in the wake of recent incidents where certain party members have engaged in the dissemination of inflammatory and unsubstantiated claims regarding state affairs.

In a bid to quell such discord, the coalition has meticulously evaluated the current state of affairs in Enugu State and has arrived at several key resolutions.

Firstly, the coalition acknowledged that Governor Mbah’s administration, having completed only one year in office, warrants time to implement its vision as outlined in the governor’s manifesto.

They noted that the numerous projects already underway or completed within the short span of the life of the government are a testament to the administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises.

The coalition listed the notable initiatives to include the revitalization of the Enugu water scheme, the establishment of 260 smart schools, and extensive road construction and rehabilitation efforts, including 71 ongoing projects and 80 new ones on the horizon.

Additionally, they noted the plan to construct 10-kilometer stretches of road in each of the state’s 260 wards, coupled with significant healthcare and educational investments, exemplifies the government’s dedication to infrastructural development.

The CRPP emphasized the importance of constructive opposition, advocating for responsible discourse and the presentation of alternative viewpoints without resorting to abusive language or historical distortion.

The coalition firmly stated that it believes that truth and clarity should prevail over deception and manipulation.

They stated that security, a pivotal concern for any society, has also been recognized by the CRPP as an area deserving continuous investment, given the dynamic and multifaceted nature of the challenges it presents.

The CRPP distanced itself from opposition tactics rooted in falsehoods and misrepresentation, choosing instead to stand by the tangible achievements of Governor Mbah and his government.

The coalition therefore reaffirmed its unwavering support for the governor, with a shared vision of making Enugu State an exemplary place to live.

The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that the unity and forward momentum heralded by the CRPP’s endorsement of Governor Mbah’s leadership mark a significant step towards realizing the collective dream of an enviable Enugu State.
