ALGON National President Pays Courtesy Visit to Lafia Emirate Council, Seeks Royal Blessings

The National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, paid a courtesy visit to the Lafia Emirate Council on the sidelines of the Association’s 48th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Hon Maifata, who was warmly received by the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (rtd), used the opportunity to seek the royal blessings and support of the Emirate Council for the activities of ALGON.

During the visit, Hon Maifata commended the Emir for his wise leadership and contributions to the development of Lafia Emirate and Nasarawa State. He also briefed the Emir on the objectives and achievements of ALGON, highlighting the Association’s commitment to promoting good governance and effective service delivery at the local government level.

The Emir, in his response, thanked Hon Maifata for the visit and praised ALGON’s efforts in promoting local government autonomy and development. He also offered his royal blessings and support for the Association’s activities, urging Hon Maifata to continue working towards the advancement of Nigeria’s grassroots governance.

The courtesy visit was attended by other executives of ALGON, including the Director General, Sir Itiako Ikpokpo, and other principal officers. The visit strengthens the relationship between ALGON and the Lafia Emirate Council, fostering collaboration and cooperation for the benefit of the people of Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.
