Odogbor Solicits Grassroots Support for Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, Assures of Meaningful Development
Dr. Vincent Udume Odogbor, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, has urged stakeholders across the state to support the governor’s MORE Agenda, aimed at achieving overall development in Delta State.
During a working visit to the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council, Hon. Comrade Warri Ovoke Friday, at his office in Oleh, Odogbor emphasized the need for grassroots support to drive the agenda forward.
Odogbor, an indigene of Isoko South, commended the chairman’s emergence as a divine intervention, destined to lead the local government at this critical time. He encouraged the chairman to remain committed to the cause of the downtrodden, a trait he had demonstrated since his student unionism days.
The SSA on Mass Mobilization expressed confidence in the chairman’s ability to deliver impressively, given his wealth of experience. He assured that his office would partner with local government chairmen, royal fathers, youth leaders, women, and the corporate sector to promote the MORE Agenda and mobilize Deltans to contribute positively to the state’s advancement.
In response, Chairman Warri Ovoke Friday assured that his administration would work tirelessly to improve the living standards of the people. He highlighted his passion for addressing the concerns of Isoko South residents and mentioned the ongoing road remediation efforts, starting with the Ogbemudia road in Oleh.
Warri emphasized his commitment to not only improving the standard of living but also setting new standards that would leave the people better off than he met them. He expressed his love for the people and pledged to ensure they feel the dividends of democracy at the grassroots level.
This visit and assurance from Odogbor demonstrate the state government’s dedication to engaging with local stakeholders and ensuring that the MORE Agenda benefits all Deltans. The partnership between the state government and local government chairmen is expected to drive meaningful development and improve the lives of residents across Delta State.
