Delta State Prioritizes High-Quality Infrastructure with Engineering Regulations Monitoring Programme
In a bid to ensure that only projects of the highest standards are commissioned for the benefit of all Deltans and residents, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has initiated the domestication of the Engineering Regulations Monitoring Programme in Delta State.
This initiative, The Street Reporters Newspaper reports, is a testament to the state’s commitment to quality and excellence in infrastructure development.
To reinforce this dedication, the state has established the State Technical Committee and the Delta State Expatriate Monitoring Committee, both in alignment with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering (COREN) Act.
These measures are designed to ensure that the highest standards are upheld, reflecting Governor Oborevwori’s resolve to deliver high-quality infrastructure.
During a recent meeting with Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, President and Chairman-in-Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Governor Oborevwori emphasized the state’s zero tolerance for low-quality jobs.
He highlighted his administration’s commitment to capacity building within the engineering sector, including regular training and refresher courses designed to enhance the expertise of engineers in the state’s civil service.
Engr. Oguntala praised Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership in infrastructure development and his constant support for engineering professionals.
She expressed the NSE’s readiness to collaborate with the Delta State Government in implementing innovative engineering solutions that will further drive the state’s development.
