NNPC Limited Debunks Employment Slot Sale Rumors, Warns Jobseekers of Fraudsters

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Limited) has issued a stern warning to the public, particularly jobseekers, to disregard rumors that employment slots are being sold by the company.

In a press release signed by Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Limited emphasized that there is no truth to the allegations that employment slots are available for purchase.

According to the company, “there is no iota of truth in the insinuations that NNPC Limited has employment slots on offer to anyone who wishes to buy.” Instead, the company described such claims as “antics of fraudsters who want to take advantage of unsuspecting applicants.”

NNPC Limited reassured the public that recruitment into the company is a transparent and straightforward process, devoid of any form of inducement or sale of slots.

“As a responsible corporate entity, recruitment into NNPC Limited does not involve the sale of slots or inducement of any kind,” the statement read.

The company warned that anyone who pays money to anyone for a job in the company does so at their own risk. This warning serves as a caution to jobseekers to be vigilant and not fall prey to fraudulent activities.

Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Limited, emphasized, “We’re not selling employment slots. Recruitment into NNPC Limited is a straightforward process, and we warn anyone who pays money to anyone for a job in the company to do so at their own risk.”

The press release, dated August 17, 2024, serves as a reminder to the public to be cautious of fraudulent activities and to rely only on official channels for information regarding job opportunities at NNPC Limited.
