Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm congratulations to Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge, (SAN) OON, on his coronation as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described Professor Azinge as a distinguished academic and quintessential legal luminary, whose emergence as the new Asagba is well-deserved.
The Governor noted that Professor Azinge’s wealth of experience as a brilliant lawyer and academic of great repute makes him an ideal candidate to improve on the Asaba Kingdom’s cultural heritage.
Governor Oborevwori praised Professor Azinge’s dedication to hard work, professionalism, patriotism, and commitment to promoting excellence in the legal profession during his tenure as Director-General and Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS).
He expressed confidence that Professor Azinge will bring his expertise to bear in leading the Asaba people, urging him to build on the legacy of his predecessor, Obi Prof. Chike Edozien, an academic giant in the field of Medicine.
While wishing Obi Prof. Azinge a successful tenure, Governor Oborevwori prayed for divine health, wisdom, and strength for greater achievements.
