Enugu Council Polls: Barr. Ukwueze, Igbo-Eze South PDP Candidate Inuagurates 5,000-Member Campaign Council
The Igbo-Eze South LGA Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has successfully inaugurated about 5,000-member Campaign Council with a former Chairman of the Local Government council, Hon. Dominic Nnaemeka Ezema as the Director-General (DG); Hon. Emeka Ishiwu named the Deputy DG, while Samuel Ejiofor Ugwuoke will serve as the Secretary.
The council were sub-divided into 13 Directorates whose appointees were represented by their leaders during the inauguration by the PDP Candidate for the 21 September 2024 Local Government elections, Barr. Ugochukwu Ferdinand Ukwueze on Tuesday, 3 September 2024 at Ibagwa-Aka, the headquarters of the LGA.
Other Appointees
The Directorates of Finance is headed by Engr. James Ajibo with Chinedu Bonaventure Ugwuja named as his deputy while Rt. Hon. Matthew Erochukwu Ugwueze is in charge of mobilization and his deputy is Hon. Barr. Ogbuja Ogbu. 
The Media and Publicity Directorate is headed by Mr. Chijinkem Ugwuanyi with Onyinye Okoro (JOJ) as his deputy; Security, Retired Captain Ernest Ayogu with Ogonna Ozoro as deputy; Protocol, Mr. Darlington Chukwuma and his vice, Chigozie Onyeke.
The youth mobilization is Engr. Daniel Ugwu, his vice, Hon. Mama, Chimezie and Women mobilization to be led by Hon. Mrs. Maria Onah and her vice, Hon. Ezeja, Chizoba (Commander).
The Directorate of Strategy is to be headed by Dr. Fide Odo, supported by his vice, Hon. Okey Ukwueze; Welfare is Prince Ekene Eze and his vice, Hon. Miss. Eze Nneka RoseMary; Works, Mr. Paulinus Agbo and his deputy, Mr. Anthony Udaya; Medical Services, Dr. Edwin Ndubuisi Arua with his vice, Dr. P O.K. Asadu; Transport, Hon. Chinedu Eze, assisted by Emeka Ezema; Advisory, Rt. Hon. Dr. Patrick Oziokoja Asadu, with assistants as Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Eze and. Dr. Mrs. Ogugua Osi-Ogbu.
During the inauguration ceremony, Barr. Ukwueze enjoined the council to work towards achieving a resounding and an all round victory for the PDP in the forthcoming elections in the local government area.
Ferdinand Ukwueze enumerated the vision of the campaign to not only win the elections, but also earn Igbo-Eze South LGA a global presence, shocasing it’s potential and prosperity.
He further encouraged all party members to remain steadfast in their loyalty and support for the party, emphasizing that they were the main campaign council.
He expressed his gratitude as well as his running mate, Princess Chinwendu Ogbonna (Authority) for the trust placed in them, pledging to work diligently towards a victorious outcome for the people of Igbo-Eze South, irrespective of their political party affiliation, if elected.
Speaking on behalf of the new appointees, Hon. Dominic Nnaemeka Ezema (Decency), the DG of the Campaign Council, charged every party member to join the council and form a group of good followers as he steer the campaign movement.
He emphasized that the campaign’s success needed combined efforts and commitment from all the members of the council and the PDP as well.
