The Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has announced changes in its leadership, with Dr. Yunusa Tanko, former Spokesman of POMR and Chief Spokesperson of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign, leaving his position to take on a new challenge. Dr. Tanko has been appointed Interim National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, a role that will see him coordinate the activities of the movement nationally and internationally.
The Obidient Movement, a quasi-political movement created in 2023 during the electioneering, reflects the philosophy and dreams of Peter Obi, with members drawn from across all political parties and non-politicians, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora. The movement seeks to create a new Nigeria that is possible.
Dr. Tanko will be replaced in POMR by Mallam Ibrahim Umar, a versatile Obidient who is equally passionate about creating a new Nigeria. The new POMR spokesman, Comrade Ibrahim Ismaila Umar, is a Computer Media Analyst graduate of Bayero University Kano (BUK) from Wase in Plateau State.
He is a member of the Obi-Datti Media Group and a young, strong Obidient member from North Central Nigeria.
In a statement, POMR appealed to members of the public to cooperate with Dr. Tanko and Mallam Umar in their new endeavors as they continue the struggle towards creating a new Nigeria. “New Nigeria is Possible,” the statement concluded.
This change in leadership marks a significant shift in the Obidient Movement, as Dr. Tanko brings his expertise and experience to the role of Interim National Coordinator.
With Mallam Umar taking the reins as POMR spokesman, the movement is poised to continue its mission of creating a new Nigeria that works for everyone.
