Enugu LG Polls: Igwe Ogadagidi Congratulates Chairmen on Resounding Election Victories
The Chairman of Enugu State Traditional Rulers’ Council, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (Igwe Ogadagidi, Igwe Nwere Ngabasi, Igwe Nwere Swag), has extended heartfelt congratulations to the chairman-elect of Nsukka Local Government Council, Chief Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa, and other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates on their resounding victories in the just-concluded council elections.
In a congratulatory press release issued on Tuesday in Nsukka, Igwe Asadu described Asogwa’s victory as a reflection of the will of the people, demonstrating their confidence in his leadership. He expressed optimism that the Nsukka LGC under Asogwa’s leadership would experience significant progress, positively impacting communities, especially rural dwellers.
Asadu, who is also the traditional ruler of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom in Nsukka LGA, extended his congratulations to other PDP candidates who emerged victorious as chairmen and councillors in their respective local government councils and wards.

Asadu praised the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) for conducting a transparent and efficient electoral process, upholding fairness and credibility principles, which strengthened democracy at the grassroots level in Enugu State.

The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) had declared the results of the local government council elections held on September 21, 2024, across 17 local government councils and 260 political wards in the state.
