In a major effort to address Nigeria’s healthcare challenges, OneBarrow International Limited will host the 2024 Health Equity Conference in Abuja on October 17, 2024.

Themed “Transforming Healthcare: Uniting Providers Through Technology for Integrated Care Solutions,” the conference aims to bring together key players from the healthcare industry to explore how technology can revolutionize the sector and improve healthcare delivery.

The CEO of OneBarrow International, Mr. Yemi Ajao, highlighted the transformative potential of the conference, stating, “Our goal is to foster collaboration across the healthcare spectrum by focusing on technology-driven solutions.

This conference will serve as a platform for innovative ideas that address healthcare disparities, improve access, and drive lasting change.”

The conference promises to convene a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders, who will delve into issues affecting healthcare delivery in Nigeria. Notably, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from those impacted by healthcare challenges, grounding the discussions in real-world experiences.

Yemi disclosed that the distinguished speakers for the event will include Professor Ali Pate, Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, Minister of State for Health, and Dr. Fatima Kyari, CEO of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

Other prominent figures, such as Professor Tosan Erhabor, CEO of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, and Alhaji Faruk Abubakar, Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, are also slated to share their insights.

A major focus of the event will be a panel discussion on the financial implications of adopting healthcare technology and strategies for improving access to quality care.

According to Mr. Ajao, “This conference will pave the way for collaborative partnerships that can significantly improve the state of healthcare in Nigeria. It comes at a critical time when our system is in dire need of integrated and equitable solutions.”

Participants will have the chance to engage with cutting-edge ideas and innovations aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery, with a focus on using technology to bridge gaps in access and equity.

The conference also presents a valuable networking platform for healthcare professionals, policymakers, and private sector leaders to forge alliances that will drive sustainable improvements in the sector.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with challenges in its healthcare infrastructure and accessibility, OneBarrow International’s Health Equity Conference is expected to serve as a turning point, offering practical solutions and a roadmap for future progress.
