Actors Guild of Nigeria Hails Minister Over Creative Economy Development Fund

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has praised the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, for establishing the Creative Economy Development Fund and implementing the Intellectual Property Monetization Pilot.

Dr. Rollas described this move as a “right step in the right direction” and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the initiatives. These milestones will significantly boost the growth and development of the creative industry.

The Actors Guild has long advocated for proper implementation of Intellectual Property policies to benefit performers. The establishment of the Creative Economy Development Fund and Intellectual Property Implementation Project will promote skills, talent, fair contractual practices, and sustainable industry growth.

Dr. Rollas commended President Tinubu’s commitment to optimizing opportunities in the creative industry, benefiting both practitioners and the national economy.

He said that he looks forward to strengthened cooperation with relevant agencies under the Ministry.
