From Humble Beginnings to Royal Leadership: Dr. Ejike Asadu Emerges as Igwe-Elect of Umuoyo Nru

In a remarkable display of community trust and appreciation, Hon. Dr. Ejike Asadu, Emenoha 1, has been unanimously elected as the Igwe-Elect of Umuoyo Nru Nsukka Kingdom. This esteemed position is a testament to his unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in serving his community.
Dr. Asadu’s journey to royal leadership began as a councilor, where he worked closely with Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah’s administration.
He expressed his gratitude to the governor, acknowledging the remarkable progress and development initiatives in Enugu State, particularly in Enugu North Senatorial District, otherwise known as Nsukka Zone.
The Igwe-Elect highlighted notable projects such as the construction of green Smart Schools, Type 2 hospitals, and ten-kilometer roads, demonstrating the governor’s commitment to the community’s well-being.
With his title name “Eze Ama Iwe” (the King that doesn’t know anger), Dr. Asadu promises to prioritize peace, progress, and cultural heritage.
He vows to ensure justice, unity, and economic growth, while providing guidance and support to the youth and vulnerable members of the community.
The Igwe-Elect’s acceptance address emphasized his commitment to seeking guidance from his ancestors, elders, and the community to ensure prosperity.
He recognized the enormity of the task ahead and promised to justify the trust placed in him.
As Dr. Asadu prepares to assume office, his leadership will focus on preserving cultural heritage in the community’s traditions and values, upholding equality and fairness for all members of the community, and fostering unity and cooperation among community members.
Other areas of focus will be on encouraging peaceful coexistence and resolving conflicts, supporting economic development initiatives and creating opportunities, and providing support and guidance to ensure the well-being of the youth and vulnerable members of the community, among others.
The people of Umuoyo Nru Nsukka Kingdom rejoiced at Dr. Asadu’s election, and expressed confident in his ability to lead their community towards a brighter future.
