The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has commenced an operational tour of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and other military installations in Enugu and Imo States.

Upon arrival in Enugu, Minister Badaru was received by Major-General H.T. Dada, General Officer Commanding 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander of the Joint Task Force South East (Operation Udoka), accompanied by senior military officers.

The minister’s visit aims to assess the operational readiness of the division and engage with stakeholders from the South East region to discuss the way forward for regional security.

This tour underscores the federal government’s commitment to strengthening national security and addressing regional concerns.
