“I want to express my deep sympathy for the government and people of Oyo State, where the unfortunate stampede claimed the lives of several young and promising Nigerians,” Governor Ododo said. “Our prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones and the government and people of Oyo State in this trying moment.”
In a press statement, Hon Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, said: “The Governor is deeply saddened by the tragic incident and has directed that a condolence message be sent to the government and people of Oyo State. He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and for God to grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss.”
