Christmas Celebration: Kogi Deputy Gov Hosts Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, HRM Ameh Adaji, and Traditional Rulers
Today, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, graciously received the esteemed presence of Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, HRM Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji, in the company of the former assembly member representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Friday Sani Makama, along with distinguished traditional rulers and descendants.
Accompanying the royal dignitary was the incumbent member representing the Igalamela/Odolu constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Major Enefola, among other notable individuals.
His Royal Majesty Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji conveyed his visit as a gesture of felicitation to the Deputy Governor on the occasion of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. He also appealed to the government to elevate the status of some of their long-standing chiefs who are his descendants.
According to the press statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr Unubi Emmanuel, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu warmly welcomed the Traditional Rulers to his residence, expressing gratitude for their well-wishes during this festive season. He assured them that he would bring forth their request to the attention of his boss, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, to address their concerns.
The Christmas celebration hosted by Kogi State Deputy Governor Comrade Joel Salifu was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation between the government and traditional rulers. The visit by Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, HRM Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji, and other distinguished traditional rulers, serve as a strong bond between the state government and the Igala kingdom.
