The Ministry of Defence has welcomed a new Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, who has pledged to build upon the achievements of his predecessor, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana. He stated that his background in a military family and knowledge of military veterans make him feel at home in his new role. “The MOD is like home coming because I am a product of a Military background family, has good knowledge of Military veterans and destiny has brought us back,” he said.

The new Permanent Secretary acknowledged the outstanding work done by Dr. Kana and vowed to take the ministry to the next level.

He emphasized the importance of honesty among staff, recognizing it as the key to success in all endeavors. “With the very good testimonies about the achievements of Dr. Kana, we shall take it further to the next level so that his efforts will not be in vain,” Ambassador Aduda said.

Ambassador Aduda also promised to build on the foundation laid by Dr. Kana, further adding value to the system. He called for commitment, courage, and excellence in duty, assuring staff that he prioritizes their welfare and seeks their cooperation in all aspects of the ministry’s work.
