In a heartwarming ceremony, the National Union of Emohua Students Worldwide conferred an Award of Honour on HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), in recognition of his tireless efforts to provide free education to Nigerian youths, particularly those from Emohua.
The award presentation, which took place on February 2, 2025, was a testament to HRM King Apostle Chibuzor’s unwavering commitment to empowering young minds through education. The National Union of Emohua Students Worldwide acknowledged his remarkable contributions, including the establishment of OPM free schools, multi-skill acquisition centers, and international university scholarships.
In a recent development, 15 students from the Emohua community have received scholarships to study for free at the OPM’s free Multi-Skill Acquisition Centre. This gesture is a continuation of HRM King Apostle Chibuzor’s efforts to provide opportunities for young people to acquire skills and knowledge that will enable them to become self-sufficient and contribute positively to their communities.
One notable example of HRM King Apostle Chibuzor’s transformative impact is the story of a young girl who was rescued by him and went on to excel academically. With the support of OPM’s free education programmes, she completed her secondary education at an OPM free school, secured an international university scholarship, and graduated with first-class honours in nursing from a university in Poland.
In addition to providing free education, OPM has also drilled a free water borehole for the community in Emohua, ensuring access to clean water for the residents. These philanthropic efforts have been made possible through the tithes and offerings from the OPM Church.
The Award of Honour serves as a fitting tribute to HRM King Apostle Chibuzor’s selfless dedication to education and community development.
