The National Organizing Secretary of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Delta State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa, has congratulated the ALGON National President, Hon. Bello Lawal, on his resounding victory in the Katsina State local government elections held on February 15.
The elections saw the All Progressive Congress (APC) with clear win all 34 local government areas, a testament to the overwhelming support of the people and trust in community service delivery of the ruling Party. Hon. Esiovwa attributed the victory to the people’s trust in the leadership of Hon. Yandaki.

Hon. Esiovwa expressed his gratitude to the Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, for his commitment to democratic governance. He also congratulated the 34 newly elected local government chairmen and commended the State Independent Electoral Commission (KASIEC) and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.
The successful election, Hon. Esiovwa noted, aligns with the value proposition of the recent Autonomy Judgement of July 11, 2024, and demonstrates the state’s commitment to deepening democratic governance.
