Dr Mefor clarified that his office had not issued any press statement regarding the social media reports listing names of those still in custody or any planned court arraignment.

He affirmed that over thirty arrested native doctors are still in detention, adding that those found culpable at the end of the investigation would be charged to court.

The commissioner highlighted that charms such as Oke-ite, Awele, Ibobo, and Odeshi are prohibited under the new Anambra Homeland Security Law, which also targets those who prepare them.
