As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Hon. Stephen Abraham Ajiya, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond. In a statement released on March 1, 2025 and personally signed, Ajiya emphasized the significance of this sacred period as a time for reflection, devotion, and self-discipline.

“Ramadan Kareem to all faithful Muslims in our great party,” Ajiya began, addressing members of the PDP and the wider Muslim community. He highlighted the values of unity, sacrifice, and compassion, describing them as principles that align closely with the ideals of the PDP.

In his message, Ajiya urged party members to use this blessed time to pray for the PDP as it prepares for the 2027 general elections. “Let us seek divine guidance to strengthen our resolve and reclaim the glory of our party, ensuring it remains a beacon of hope for all Nigerians,” he stated. He also called for collective action against those whose personal interests, he warned, could jeopardize the party’s future.

Reflecting on his long-standing commitment to the PDP, Ajiya underscored his dedication to the party’s success, particularly in the North Central zone. “As a loyal party man who has never wavered in my commitment since 1999, I understand the challenges we face in the North Central zone,” he said. “I am prepared to work tirelessly to restore the fortunes of our party and uphold the trust of our members.”

Ajiya also pledged to lead with integrity and a clear vision if given the mandate to serve as the PDP North Central Zonal Chairman. “If given the mandate, I pledge to lead with integrity, dedication, and a clear vision for a stronger PDP,” he affirmed.

Concluding his message, Ajiya encouraged party members to embrace the lessons of Ramadan—patience, humility, and wisdom—as they make decisions that will shape the future of the PDP and the nation. “Together, we can ensure that the PDP continues to serve as a platform for progress, justice, and unity,” he said.

The statement ended on a hopeful note, with Ajiya wishing peace, blessings, and renewed strength to all during this holy month. “May this Ramadan bring peace, blessings, and renewed strength to us all. Ramadan Kareem!” he concluded.

Signed as the “Preferred Aspirant” for the position of PDP North Central Zonal Chairman, Ajiya’s message resonates as a call for unity and purpose within the party as it looks ahead to the challenges and opportunities of the coming years.
