In a determined stride toward infrastructural transformation, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, accompanied by the state Commissioner for Works, conducted an extensive inspection of ongoing road projects in Aba.
The tour encompassed several critical roads, including Port-Harcourt Road, Ekeakpara-NNPC Road Osisioma, Omuma Road, Eziukwu Road, Market Road, Tenant Road, Cameroon Road, Ehi Road, Clifford Road, School Road, and other strategic routes within Asa Road and the Aba Metropolis.
Addressing the residents of Aba, Governor Otti expressed heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support and enthusiasm. “I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm from the residents of Aba. Your commitment to our vision of transforming Aba’s infrastructure is truly inspiring,” he remarked.
The Governor commended the quality of work being executed by Julius Berger on Port-Harcourt Road, assuring the public that the project would soon be ready for commissioning. “I commend the quality of work done on Port-Harcourt Road by Julius Berger and guarantee that the road will soon be ready for commissioning,” he stated confidently.
Governor Otti emphasized the broader impact of the ongoing projects, highlighting their potential to elevate Abia State’s economic standing. “With multiple ongoing construction and reconstruction projects across the State, Abia will soon take its pride of place among economically advanced States with the right environment for investment and investors,” he affirmed.
In a call to action, the Governor urged residents to play an active role in maintaining the city’s cleanliness and ensuring the functionality of its drainage systems. “I urge Aba residents to assist the Government in keeping the city clean and to avoid obstructing the free flow of water in the drains. Your support is crucial in maintaining the progress we have achieved,” he appealed.
Governor Otti concluded his address with an optimistic vision for the future, stating, “More glorious days lie ahead as we continue to build a better Abia together.”
