The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its dedication to improving technical vocational education by announcing plans to collaborate with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

This commitment was made on Tuesday, during a meeting at the official residence of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in Lokoja. Represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, the Governor highlighted the importance of education in empowering individuals and fostering societal progress.

In a statement released by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr. Unubi Emmanuel, Governor Ododo emphasized the pivotal role of technical vocational education in nurturing self-reliance among the people of Kogi State and the nation at large.The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its dedication to improving technical vocational education by announcing plans to collaborate with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

He stressed the necessity of embracing modern advancements in the field, cautioning that resistance to such progress could lead to adverse consequences for society.

Governor Ododo assured that his administration would engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of NABTEB’s objectives in the state.

Earlier, Mrs. Ajibili P., the state coordinator of NABTEB, expressed her gratitude to the Kogi State Government for its consistent support of examination candidates from government technical colleges over the past two years.

She lauded Governor Ododo’s inspiring leadership and appealed for the establishment of more technical schools across the state.
