In a heartfelt gesture, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, former Deputy Governor, extended his deepest sympathies to Governor Dikko Umar Radda following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safarau Umar. The esteemed matriarch of the Radda family passed away at the age of 92 after a brief illness.

Upon his arrival, Yakubu was warmly received by Governor Radda. He described Hajiya Safarau Umar as a “jewel of inestimable value,” whose influence and legacy have left an indelible mark on the state through her children, including the Governor himself.

Yakubu offered prayers for her eternal peace and for the strength of the family during this challenging time.

Reflecting on her remarkable life, Yakubu emphasized the void her passing leaves, particularly as Governor Radda continues to navigate the responsibilities of governance.

Hajiya Safarau Umar was laid to rest in Radda town, where Yakubu prayed for Allah to grant her Aljannah Firdaus and for the people of Katsina State to find the fortitude to bear this profound loss.
