Hon. Onoriode Esiovwa Esiovwa JP KSM, the National Organising Secretary of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman of ALGON Delta State, has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr. He commended their unwavering dedication to prayers and adherence to the pillars of Islam during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Their selflessness, compassion, and generosity during Ramadan are a shining example to us all, and a reminder of the importance of unity, love, and kindness,” Hon. Esiovwa remarked, highlighting the profound values embodied by the Muslim community.
Acknowledging the significant contributions of Muslims to national development, social cohesion, and cultural heritage, Hon. Esiovwa emphasized the critical role of local governments in supporting Muslim communities. He reaffirmed ALGON’s commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence, social justice, and inclusive development. He also expressed gratitude to the ALGON National President, Hon. Engr Bello Lawal, and his executive team for their innovative leadership within the association.
Hon. Esiovwa extended special thanks to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his inclusive leadership and dedication to creating an enabling environment for growth and development. He praised the Governor’s focus on infrastructure, job creation, healthcare, and education, which has positively impacted communities across Delta State.
Recognized for his achievements in good governance and grassroots development, Hon. Esiovwa has earned the prestigious title of ‘Odonjerenren of Okpe Kingdom.’ His efforts in promoting local government excellence and accountability have set a benchmark for others to follow.
In his concluding remarks, Hon. Esiovwa wished Muslims a joyous Eid al-Fitr celebration, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends. “May the blessings of Allah be upon us all, and may we continue to work together to build a brighter, more prosperous future for ourselves, our children, and generations to come,” he said.
