In a pivotal moment for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), Bayo Ojulari has officially assumed the position of Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), succeeding Mele Kyari. During a handover ceremony held at NNPC Towers, Ojulari emphasized his commitment to consolidating on Kyari’s achievements and propelling the company to greater heights.

“I will be counting on your support. I will need it. I will be coming around to seek your counsel,” Ojulari stated, addressing Kyari directly. He acknowledged the challenges ahead, but remained confident in the collaborative spirit of the company’s management and staff.

Kyari, in his remarks, pledged unwavering support for the new administration, expressing gratitude to NNPC’s team for their backing during his tenure. “I am only a call away,” he assured Ojulari, further solidifying the unity and camaraderie at the helm of NNPC Ltd.

The day marked another significant milestone as NNPC Ltd announced an entirely new 8-member Senior Management Team under Ojulari’s leadership. Among the appointments are Roland Ewubare as Group Chief Operating Officer; Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer; and Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President Gas, Power & New Energy. Other key figures include Udy Ntia, Mumuni Dagazau, Sophia Mbakwe, and Adesua Dozie, taking on major executive roles across upstream, downstream, business services, and legal functions.

These appointments come into effect immediately, setting the stage for a robust leadership structure to navigate the complexities of the energy sector and deliver on NNPC Ltd’s strategic goals.

With a dynamic new team and Ojulari’s forward-looking approach, NNPC Ltd is poised to build on past successes and achieve its ambitious vision for the future.
