In light of recent violent attacks in Plateau State, President Bola Tinubu has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, promising severe punishment for those responsible. The attacks affected communities in Bokkos Local Government Area, including Ruwi, Hurti, Tadai, Manguna, and Dafo villages, resulting in the loss of tragiclife and widespread destruction of property.
The President extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the Plateau State Government under Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
He called on the affected communities to cooperate with security agencies by providing any information that could assist in apprehending the attackers and restoring safety to the area.
Condemning the violence, President Tinubu stated, “These attacks on defenceless citizens are unacceptable. At a time when we are striving to restore peace and order, this incident will not deter our commitment to protecting every Nigerian citizen.”
To aid recovery efforts, President Tinubu instructed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to collaborate with state authorities in delivering relief to victims, supporting the wounded, and assisting in rebuilding the affected communities.
The President urged all Nigerians to reject retaliation and work together to foster peace and stability.
He emphasized the importance of unity, shared humanity, and the collective rejection of violence to build a harmonious nation.
