Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, has participated in the official launch of the Labour, Employment, and Empowerment Program (LEEP) at the Conference Centre, State House, Abuja.
The Governor is being represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu.
He was accompanied by Hon. Hilary Ojoma Egwudah; the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Shehu Seidu Amodu; the Assembly Member for Ofu State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Momoh Alfa Rabiu; Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Friday Nichodemous Adejoh; Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce and Industry, the Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area; Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, Comrade Sule Uhiene, among other aides.
The program was inaugurated by His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The event is graced by ministers, senior government officials, religious and traditional leaders, permanent secretaries, youth groups, and non-governmental organizations.
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State were also in attendance. The Governors of Kaduna and Sokoto States were represented by their respective deputies.
The Labour, Employment, and Empowerment Program is a Renewed Hope Initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, anchored by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
It is designed to generate 2.5 million jobs, equip Nigerians with essential skills, and promote entrepreneurship through innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships.
