Mayor Ukwueze Awards Full Master’s Scholarships to Outstanding Graduates

The Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Council and Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State, Hon. Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, has awarded fully funded Master’s scholarships to two outstanding graduates, in a remarkable show of commitment to education and youth development.
The scholarships were presented during the 2025 Education and Youth Empowerment Programme, held yesterday, Wednesday, 16 April 2025, at the Council Secretariat, Ibagwa-Aka. This initiative aligns with the educational vision of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
The scholarship beneficiaries are Miss Emeka Abigail Amuche, a First-Class graduate of Political Science Education from the University of Calabar, and Engr. Egwuchika Tochukwu Onyeze, the Best Graduating Student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka. Engr. Onyeze, from the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, graduated with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.95.
Miss Amuche hails from Ulunya Ovoko Community, while Engr. Onyeze is from Alor-Agu Community, both in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.
Each recipient was granted a fully funded Master’s degree scholarship to any Nigerian university of their choice. The awards recognize their academic brilliance and aim to encourage excellence among students from Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.
