The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Captain Alex Badeh Jr., has expressed the Bureau’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration to advance aviation safety in Nigeria.
Captain Badeh made this known on Wednesday at the NSIB headquarters in Abuja while receiving the newly appointed Commissioner of Police for the Nigeria Police Force Airwing, CP Martin Nwogoh, who visited alongside senior officers of the Airwing.

Describing the visit as a “meaningful step in deepening ties” between the two agencies in his X post, Captain Badeh noted that discussions during the engagement centered on practical areas of cooperation. These include improving coordination in aviation safety, strengthening operational support, and clarifying shared responsibilities in emergency response.

Following the meeting, the NSIB Director General led CP Nwogoh and his delegation on a guided tour of the Bureau’s technical and operational facilities, offering them a firsthand look at the tools and systems that underpin NSIB’s investigative work.
Captain Badeh emphasized that the visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of both organizations to ensuring a safer aviation environment in Nigeria, stressing that strong inter-agency collaboration remains critical to achieving that goal.

“The NSIB will continue to work closely with the Nigeria Police Airwing and other stakeholders to ensure a safer, more secure aviation sector for all,” he stated.
The visit, which was one among series of courtesy visits to key aviation stakeholders by CP Nwogoh, marks an important milestone in the ongoing efforts to bolster cooperation between aviation safety and law enforcement bodies in the country.
