ALGON Director General Barr. Mrs. Evan Enekwe Extends Easter Greetings, Urges Unity and Progress

The Acting Director General of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Barr. Mrs. Evan Enekwe, has extended heartfelt Easter greetings to ALGON leadership, chairmen, partners, members, and communities across the country, calling for continued unity, cooperation, and shared commitment to local development.
In a statement released to mark the Easter celebration, Mrs. Enekwe emphasized the profound significance of the season, highlighting its spiritual and social importance.
“I extend warm Easter greetings to our esteemed ALGON Leadership Chairmen, Partners, members, and the good people of our communities,” she said. “May the light of the Risen Christ shine upon us, illuminating our paths with hope, joy, and peace.”
Reflecting on Nigeria’s rich tradition of religious harmony, Mrs. Enekwe praised the spirit of tolerance and mutual respect that exists among the country’s Christian and Muslim communities.
“I seize this opportunity to commend both the interfaith love amongst Christians and Muslims with tolerance and unwavering dedication,” she noted. “A few weeks ago, we had a joyful Sallah celebration, and today we celebrate again the Easter with shared love.”
On behalf of the ALGON Secretariat, Mrs. Enekwe conveyed warm wishes to all members and stakeholders working to promote grassroots development.
“On behalf of the Secretariat, I convey their wishes to all the ALGON Leaders, the Chairmen and members, working tirelessly to promote local government development,” she said.
The Director General also urged stakeholders to embrace the core lessons of Easter, calling for greater synergy and cooperation among local government actors.
“May the lessons of this season abide in us all to continue to foster synergy, cooperation, and unity among ourselves, harnessing our collective strengths to drive progress and prosperity in our local communities,” she urged.
Mrs. Enekwe concluded her message with prayers for ALGON’s continued success and the personal well-being of all its members.
“May God bless us abundantly and guide ALGON and its Leadership and staff as well as all in our life endeavors. I wish you a blessed, joyous, and exciting Easter celebration with your loved ones,” she said.
