Dr. Gabriel Oyibode Welcomes Governor Sheriff to APC, Pledges Support for Progressive Leadership in Delta State

In a glowing show of solidarity, Dr. Gabriel Chukwuma Oyibode, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former senatorial flag bearer for Delta North, has warmly welcomed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori into the APC family.
Dr. Oyibode, who hails from Ezionum Kingdom in Ukwuani Local Government Area and is regarded as one of the founding members of the APC in Delta State, described Governor Oborevwori’s decision to join the party as a “strategic move” that will usher in a new era of political dividends for the state.
He emphasized that the Governor’s alignment with the APC is widely supported by Deltans, noting that the affiliation is particularly meaningful given that Nigeria’s First Lady hails from Delta State.
“The decision of His Excellency Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to join the APC is a welcome development. It is not only strategic but will also open doors for more progressive governance and development in Delta State,” Dr. Oyibode stated.
He further called on stakeholders within the Ndokwa nation and across Delta State to unite and work closely with Governor Sheriff, describing him as the “APC Governor” who is poised to lead Delta into a future of prosperity and inclusive growth.
Dr. Oyibode, who once contested for the governorship under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before joining the APC and contesting the 2019 general election as a senatorial candidate, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party and supporting the Governor’s leadership.
As one of the vocal voices and key strategists behind the growth of the APC in Delta State, Dr. Oyibode’s endorsement signals a strong internal rallying of support for Governor Oborevwori, setting a tone of unity and optimism within the party ranks.
