Hon. Alabi Kolade David, Executive Member of the United Cities of Africa (UCLGA) and Chairman, Conference 57, has joined global leaders in celebrating Nigerian workers’ invaluable contributions to nation-building.
Speaking in Bariga, his constituency, and in capacity as the Chairman of Bariga Local Council, Hon. Alabi highlighted labour’s pivotal role in driving progress especially in Lagos where he said Governor Sanwo-Olu has innovatively changed the game for a more prosperous habitable environment for workers both formal and informal sectors of the Economy.
He traced the history of labour commitment, acknowledging workers’ decades-long sacrifices. Hon. Alabi emphasized labour dexterity, noting its impact on economic growth and development. He commended Nigerian workers’ resilience and dedication in both Bariga, Lagos and across the country.
Hon. Alabi praised the National Labour Congress (NLC) for advocating workers’ rights and promoting social justice.
He acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, prioritizing workers’ welfare and grassroots development.
