The immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Barr. Deacon Kingsley B. Otuaro, has extended warm congratulations to Governor Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori and Deputy Governor H.E. Sir Monday Onyeme as they mark two years in office.
In a statement released recently, Otuaro praised the administration’s notable strides in infrastructure development and its commitment to sustaining peace across the state.
“On behalf of my family, friends, and political associates, I extend my sincere congratulations to you, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, and your Deputy, H.E. Sir Monday Onyeme, on the occasion of your second year in office as Governor of Delta State,” Otuaro stated.
He emphasized that the two-year milestone offers an opportunity for reflection on the administration’s performance and its alignment with campaign promises and development goals.
Mid-term performance assessments are a standard practice in democratic governance, offering stakeholders—including citizens, civil society, and political observers—an opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of elected officials at the halfway point of their tenure. These evaluations typically focus on key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, economic growth, and governance transparency.
Otuaro acknowledged the importance of such assessments and noted the visible improvements in infrastructure and the relative peace maintained across Delta State as indicators of the administration’s commitment to development and stability.
“Thank you for your efforts in infrastructure development and in maintaining peace across the state,” he said.
The former Deputy Governor concluded with prayers for continued divine guidance and success for the Oborevwori-led administration, reaffirming his goodwill and support on behalf of his family, friends, and political associates.
