The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has firmly refuted circulating reports on social media alleging that it has commenced payments to beneficiaries of its various intervention programmes.

In an official statement released Monday and signed by its National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer, Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal, the agency described the claims as “entirely false, deceptive, and unauthorized,” urging the public to disregard them.

“The attention of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has been drawn to a misleading and unauthorized online post alleging that payments are currently being made to NSIPA Programmes beneficiaries,” the statement read.

“We wish to categorically state that this information is entirely false, deceptive, and should be disregarded in its entirety.”

NSIPA condemned the spread of the misinformation, emphasizing that such actions not only confuse and mislead citizens but also undermine the credibility of the agency’s work.

“For the avoidance of doubt, NSIPA does not facilitate or announce payment disbursements via Facebook or any unofficial social media platforms,” the agency clarified. “All official updates regarding NSIPA payments are communicated exclusively through our verified communication channels and the traditional media.”

The agency further urged beneficiaries, stakeholders, and the general public to rely only on its official pages for verified information. These include:

. Instagram: @nsipa.nag

. Facebook: NSIPA NSIPA

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and accountability, NSIPA advised Nigerians to remain vigilant and contact the agency directly through its official platforms for any clarifications or verifications.

“We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and the continued delivery of impactful social investment initiatives across Nigeria,” the statement concluded.

The agency thanked Nigerians for their continued cooperation and urged them to stay alert to misinformation campaigns.
