MBM Political Movement Hails Former Governor Yahaya Bello at 50, Celebrates His Legacy and Mentorship

As former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, marks his 50th birthday, the MBM Political Movement has paid glowing tribute to the ex-governor, celebrating his legacy of leadership and mentorship.
In a birthday message personally signed by its Convener, Mallam Bello Muhammed (MBM), the grassroots mobilization and political pressure group commended Bello for what it described as “an unmatched era of governance” and his transformational leadership in the state.
Standing on the tribute already offered by Governor Usman Ododo — Bello’s successor and political mentee — the MBM Political Movement described the celebrant as “a builder of men and a pioneer of modern governance in Kogi State.”
“Your Excellency sir, you’ve left indelible marks of legacies which will remain unmatched for decades in the political and governance history of Kogi State and Nigeria at large,” the statement read.
Mallam Bello Muhammed praised the former Governor for grooming a new generation of leaders with “intellectual capacity and the will to compete favorably with their counterparts across the globe.”
According to him, Bello’s eight years in office did not only change the political landscape of the state but also laid a strong economic foundation that has earned Kogi a place on the map of thriving sub-national economies.
“You successfully delivered a template that sets Kogi State on the map of a thriving economy. History shall forever be kind to your existence till eternity,” MBM declared.
The group concluded by wishing the former governor a long life filled with continued impact and success, fondly referring to him as “Baba Kogi.”
Yahaya Bello served as Governor of Kogi State from 2016 to 2024 and has remained a prominent figure in Nigerian politics.
