Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, has urged Nigeria’s business community to take advantage of the ongoing reforms in the defence sector by investing in the country’s defence industries.
He made this call while addressing participants at the 65th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), held at the Banquet Hall in Ilorin, Kwara State.

He emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in boosting local production capacity, innovation, and strategic industrial growth in national defence.
“The private sector must see defence not just as a government responsibility, but as a critical pillar of our collective national security and economic resilience,” he stated.

Representing President Tinubu was the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh.
