The Not Too Young To Perform (NTYTP) Leadership Development Advocacy, a national youth-focused non-governmental organization, has praised the Federal Government of Nigeria for the launch of the 2025 National Youth Conference (National Youth Confab), describing it as a bold and inclusive initiative that could redefine the role of young people in national governance and development.

In a press statement signed by its National Secretary, Arc Bello Muhammed, the NTYTP commended the Federal Ministry of Youth Development for conceptualizing what it calls “a defining moment in the nation’s journey towards transformational national unity and youth-driven development.”

“By centering youth voices across six critical thematic pillars—ranging from governance and political participation to entrepreneurship, education, and climate action—the 2025 Youth Confab is a powerful platform for galvanizing Nigerian youths into active stakeholders in building a stronger, inclusive, and more prosperous Nigeria,” the statement reads.

The NTYTP, which boasts structured leadership across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), emphasized that the upcoming conference is not merely symbolic but represents a strategic opportunity for Nigerian youth to lead conversations and solutions that shape the country’s future.

“The NTYTP strongly believes this initiative signals a timely call to national integration and provides Nigerian youth with an unprecedented opportunity to contribute meaningfully to governance, innovation, and intellectual productivity,” Arc Bello stated.

“It marks a turning point in channeling the demographic strength and aspirations of the youth towards driving Nigeria’s economic growth and securing the nation’s future through visionary leadership.”

The group also extended its appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and statesmanship, particularly in ensuring that the initiative remains non-partisan and inclusive of all Nigerian youth, regardless of their background or political affiliations.

“We particularly commend His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for ensuring that this vital policy and nation-building platform is not limited by partisanship or sectionalism,” the group noted.
“This act of statesmanship reinforces our conviction that the Nigerian youth must be empowered as equal partners in governance and national progress.”

The NTYTP also reserved high praise for the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, citing the efforts of Minister Hon. Ayodele Olawande and Permanent Secretary Olubunmi Olusanya, who also serves as Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Youth Confab 2025.

“Their clarity of vision, competence, and commitment to youth inclusion represent a refreshing departure from old norms that sidelined the voices of young Nigerians,” the organization said.

In a rallying call to action, the NTYTP urged its members nationwide and all young Nigerians to register and participate in the conference, which it describes as “a golden opportunity for young Nigerians to step into their rightful roles as leaders, innovators, and nation-builders.”

“This is not just a conference. It is a national call to action,” Arc Bello declared.
“We encourage all well-meaning young Nigerians to seize this historic opportunity to participate by registering through the official Youth Confab portal or directly via the NTYTP website: www.nottooyoung.org.ng.”

The 2025 National Youth Conference is expected to convene thousands of young Nigerians from across the country to engage in high-level discussions, policy dialogue, and capacity building sessions that align with national development priorities and global best practices in youth participation.

With the support of critical stakeholders and the proactive engagement of organizations like NTYTP, the Youth Confab is poised to become a watershed moment in advancing youth leadership, unity, and inclusive governance in Nigeria.
