MThe leadership of the Crusaders for Niger Delta Community Development (CNDCD) has expressed displeasure over the abusive and defamatory remarks made against Mr. Matthew Dango, the SA Youth to the MD/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, sponsored by one Adams Marbo, the self-acclaimed president of Niger Delta Progressive Youth Leadership Foundation.

CNDCD, in a statement on Thursday by its National Coordinator, Amb. Jesse Ese, says Marbo’s action were inspired by hunger, hatred, envy and jealousy because he has since been eyeing the position of SA Youth since he was sacked as head of peace building and conflict resolution in the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) due to gross misconduct.

Ese says it is unbelievable that someone like Marbo who has no integrity even while working in the PAP, who would always blocked every Niger Deltan from seeing the Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, and would always create his proxy groups and give them access to meet the PAP boss is now the one shamelessly coming out to drag Dango’s name in the mud.

He says, if not for hunger, what else on earth could make a full adult like Marbo who has held a juicy post in the PAP come up with a statement addressed to Dr. Samuel Ogbuku with the title: “We have opened a chapter to fight against your SA on Youth Affairs, Mr. Matthew Dango.”

Ese says he never imagined that one day, Marbo who made himself god over everyone else in the PAP would get hungry to the point of relying on stipends given by the NDDC to stakeholders for transportation for survival.

According to the statement, “Hunger has embraced Marbo to the point of forcing him to write Ogbuku that he was among those who moved from street to street and carried protests to the Villa and the National Assembly to demand the constitution of the NDDC Board, and he has forgotten that those people he blocked their way from seeing the PAP boss fought with their blood before the federal government established the Amnesty Programme.”

“He that seeks equity must come with clean hands, but in this case, Dango is far better than Marbo who is having sleepless nights because somebody else is occupying the position of SA Youth.”

“After being chased out of the PAP, Marbo floated a group known as Niger Delta Progressive Youth Leadership Foundation to be farming individuals and offices in the Niger Delta, and anyone who doesn’t do his bidding is subjected to blackmail and media attacks – and this time around, Mr. Matthew Dango is his victim.”

“Perhaps, Marbo should tell us the impact he has made with his group which he is using to rubbish people who are more honourable, kind and competent than him.”

“CNDCD urges the Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, stakeholders and the general public to disregard the blackmail against Mr. Matthew Dango because it is coming from someone whose name is stained already and possess a rich history of pulling people down for his selfish gains.

“We are very sure that if Dr. Ogbuku knows Marbo very well and how dubious he is, he will not even read any letter coming from him.”

“Mr. Matthew Dango may have his own errors because nobody is perfect, but he is performing his duties in the best way he can, and we, the stakeholders of the Niger Delta, are quite pleased with him,” the statement adds.
