Obidient Movement Hails Volunteers for Self-Funded Birthday Celebrations Honouring Peter Obi at 64

The Obidient Movement has extended heartfelt appreciation to its members, coordinators, and volunteers across the country for what it described as “phenomenal success” in organising self-funded, peaceful, and inspiring nationwide celebrations to mark the 64th birthday of former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi.
In a press release dated July 20, 2025, and signed by Dr. Yunusa Tanko (National Coordinator), Nana Kazaure (Director of Strategic Communications & Media), and Morris Monye (Director of Mobilisation), the leadership of the movement hailed the dedication of Nigerians who mobilised resources independently to honour the statesman.
“On behalf of the entire Obidient Movement family,” the statement reads, “I extend my warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of us for the phenomenal success of our PEACEFUL nationwide celebrations in honour of His Excellency, Peter Obi’s 64th birthday anniversary.”
The movement emphasised the scale, unity, and discipline displayed across all 36 states of Nigeria during the events, describing it as a true reflection of the hope and trust placed in Peter Obi’s vision of a New Nigeria.
“Your passion, energy, and commitment to our shared vision of a New Nigeria being POssible, was palpable, inspiring, and truly unforgettable,” the statement continued. “Your tireless efforts to mobilise, educate, and empower our fellow Nigerians in an organised and PEACEFUL manner have not gone unnoticed and is deeply appreciated.”
Perhaps most notably, the movement praised the fact that all the celebrations were powered without external sponsorship, highlighting the deep personal sacrifices of members.
“The outpouring of love, support, and enthusiasm for Peter Obi’s leadership—especially out of pocket, using your own resources—is a testament to the enduring impact of his vision, integrity, and selfless service to our nation,” the press release stated.
The leadership did not hold back in commending the unsung heroes behind the scenes: “We also acknowledge the unwavering dedication of our state coordinators, volunteers, and supporters who worked tirelessly using their own hard-earned resources to make these celebrations all over the country a resounding success. Turning directly to the celebrant, the movement offered deep gratitude and renewed its unwavering support for his leadership:
