Ahead of the September 24th, 2025 commencement of political campaigns in public by political parties and candidates for the Area Council Elections in the FCT, Mr Jonathan Idi aka Tito has presented his certificate of return as the duly elected All Progressives Candidate (APC) Councillorship candidate for Nyanya Ward to his political Leader, Hon Gabriel Bravo Oluohu .

Presenting the certificate to Bravo earlier today in Abuja in company of two former Councillors of the ward; Hon Suleiman Muhammed Hon Ahmed A. Medugu and a host of party stakeholders, Tito expressed his appreciation and unalloyed loyalty to Hon Bravo; reiterating that when elected he will work to ensure the confidence reposed in him during the primaries which threw him up as the candidate.

While describing the presentation of the certificates as milestone, Hon Bravo assured that as the political leader of Nyanya Ward, he will not leave any stone unturned towards the success of APC at the upcoming area council campaigns and the subsequent elections slated for 21st February, 2026.

Bravo also expressed his unlimited support to the Abuja Municipal Area Council Chairmanship candidate, Hon Zakka Maikalangu for the successes recorded thus far and assured that he would work hard to ensure that they did not disappoint the party.

The last Area Council election in the FCT was held on 12 February, 2022. By the effluxion of time, the tenure of the current Chairmen and Councillors ends next year. Consequently,
INEC Nigeria has approved that the 2026 Area Council election in FCT will hold on Saturday 21st February 2026. Voting will take place in all the designated Polling Units to elect the six Area Council Chairmen and 62 Councilors.
