In a move emblematic of leadership grounded in community and connection, Dr. Pat Ifeanyi Oramah, new President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire, has paid a courtesy visit to the former Inspector-General of Police, Sir (Dr) Mike Mbama Okiro, LLM, MPA, mni, CFR, IGP Retired, at his Abuja residence.

The visit comes as part of pre-Investiture engagements by Dr. Oramah, who is set to be officially installed as the 8th President of the prestigious Rotary chapter under the distinguished chairmanship of the IGP retired.

He was accompanied by the immediate past President of the Club, Barrister Obiananma Anne Onwukeme, incoming President, Rotarian Marcel Ezenwa, Rotarian Comrade James Ezema, among others.

During the visit, Dr. Oramah warmly urged the former IGP and friends, as well as all spirited individuals across the country, to attend the upcoming Investiture Ceremony, emphasizing the Rotary spirit of service above self, commitment to peace, and collaboration for public good.

Speaking during the courtesy visit, Dr. Oramah expressed his commitment to deepening Rotary’s footprint in service and humanitarian outreach, urging the former Inspector-General for support to the Rotary.

On his part, Sir (Dr) Okiro commended the club’s efforts, pledging his full support and encouraging wider public participation.

The Investiture Ceremony will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM, and hosted at the Barcelona Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja.

The evening will feature an array of special highlights, including an Awards Night, Fundraising Dinner, and formal Handover. Attendees are expected from various spheres of society, reflecting Rotary’s inclusive ethos.

With the theme “Unite for Good”, the ceremony aims to rally Abuja’s changemakers, philanthropists, and civic leaders in a shared pursuit of impact and innovation.
