In a major step toward strengthening its grassroots mobilisation, the Obidient Movement has officially inaugurated its Ward Coordinators in Municipal Local Government Area, one of Kano State’s most strategic and politically influential LGAs.
The event, which drew a significant crowd of supporters and political enthusiasts, also featured the official unveiling of the “Peter Obi Prosperity Cap” — a bold emblem of the Movement’s ideological shift from consumption to production, and its stand against hunger, neglect, and public sector corruption.
Described by organisers as a call to action for good governance, accountability, and economic justice, the Prosperity Cap has been adopted as a unifying symbol for supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, whose political message continues to resonate across the country.
Solidarity delegations from Jigawa and Katsina States were present at the ceremony, expressing their commitment to replicate the initiative and amplify the message across their respective states. Leaders from the neighbouring states hailed the unveiling of the Prosperity Cap as “a visual rallying point for the pursuit of a better Nigeria.”
“This is not just a cap,” one of the speakers declared, “It is a crown for every Nigerian who believes that this country can work through visionary leadership and responsible governance.”
The Obidient Movement reiterated that the inauguration in Kano Municipal is just the beginning of its intensified grassroots drive ahead of future national elections.
With chants of “Peter Obi is Coming” echoing throughout the event, participants affirmed their belief that “A New Nigeria is POssible.”
