In a decisive move aimed at reinvigorating its structure and strategy, the Progressive Next Generation Initiative (PNGI), a political advocacy and support group affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), has named Hon. Faisal Lawal as Interim National Chairman and Hon. Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair as Interim National Secretary.

The appointments were ratified during the group’s 4th strategic meeting held on August 2, 2025. The meeting brought together key members and stakeholders to reaffirm PNGI’s mission and strategic alignment with the core values of the APC, especially as the party works to consolidate gains made at the national level.

In his opening remarks, PNGI Convener, Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, emphasized the founding vision of the organization—focused on unity, transparency, and structured political engagement. He reaffirmed PNGI’s role as a vital, database-driven grassroots platform committed to bridging the gap between citizens and government while supporting the APC-led administration through effective communication and mobilization.

Hon. Faisal Lawal, in his acceptance remarks, pledged to lead with integrity and innovation, stating that PNGI would become a formidable platform for policy advocacy and political participation, particularly among youth. Similarly, Hon. Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair expressed readiness to strengthen internal systems and champion inclusive leadership within the organization.

Highlighting PNGI’s renewed strategic direction, Hon. Mathias Zadok, Director of Media, Press & Publicity, unveiled a comprehensive vision focused on grassroots mobilization, digital engagement, and transforming grievances within the APC into avenues for dialogue and growth. According to Zadok, PNGI is committed to supporting the president and party leadership through data analytics and targeted outreach.

As part of its restructuring efforts, PNGI has opened its doors to capable and committed individuals interested in national and state leadership roles. This inclusive approach is aimed at fostering broader participation and talent development within the party’s support ecosystem.

To drive registration and enhance communication, PNGI also announced the launch of its official website: www.pngi.ng, which will serve as a central platform for membership onboarding, digital interaction, and organizational updates.

The Progressive Next Generation Initiative continues to position itself as a forward-looking movement, offering a new model for political engagement rooted in unity, accountability, and developmental advocacy.
