The Team MBM Political Movement, a formidable grassroots political group in Kogi State, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni Ododo, father of the state’s Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who passed away at the age of 83.

In a condolence statement issued in Abuja and signed by the leader of the movement, Mallam Bello Muhammed, popularly known as MBM in Kogi State political circles, the group described the late Alhaji Ododo as a man of rare compassion, humility, and generosity, whose legacy touched lives far beyond his immediate family.

“We lost a very nice man. A really passionate personality who loves everyone as his own. He was a father to all, regardless of where you come from. He took responsibility for other people’s children as though they were his own. The father of our able Governor has returned to his Maker. We pray Allah grant him eternal mercy and peace. Amin,” the statement read.

Further extending its condolences directly to Governor Ododo, the MBM Political Movement acknowledged the profound impact of the late patriarch on both the family and the wider Ebira community. “Your Excellency sir, we sincerely send you our heartfelt condolences and to the entire family of the Ododos. Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni Ododo, your father who just passed on, was a very good man to behold and a pillar that supported not just his immediate family but the Ebira community at large. Every mention of Baba’s name resonates with positivity and exceptional praises from far and wide,” the message stated.

The group emphasized that the late Ododo’s life was a testament to service, sacrifice, and compassion. “Everybody who had an encounter with Baba would always have a victory story to tell, and this is because of how passionate he was—always helping, sacrificing, and taking responsibilities to ensure the wellbeing of others,” MBM said.

Reflecting on his fulfilled life, the statement noted that the late Ododo lived to witness the remarkable political rise of his son. “Your Excellency sir, you have every grace to mourn his loss and also rejoice that he lived a fulfilled life, seeing you rise to a very high status in national leadership,” the group declared.

The MBM Political Movement concluded by praying for eternal peace for the deceased and strength for the family. “As we pray to Allah for His infinite and eternal mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased, we also beseech divine strength upon the entire household and well-wishers alike to sail through this trying moment.”

Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni Ododo was widely respected for his generosity, community spirit, and fatherly disposition. His passing, the group noted, leaves a significant void not only in the Ododo family but also across Kogi State, where his legacy of love and sacrifice will continue to be remembered.
