The Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ) has commiserated with the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewe, over the death of his beloved wife, Hajara Alabelewe.
In a condolence message signed by Rowland Olonishuwa, National Secretary, NGIJ and made available to journalists on Sunday, the NGIJ described the passing of Mrs. Alabelewe as a painful loss, not only to her immediate family but also to the journalism community in Kaduna and beyond.
The Guild prayed for Allah’s comfort and strength for Comrade Alabelewe and his family in this moment of grief.
“On behalf of the National Executive Council and entire members of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists, we express our heartfelt condolences to our brother, Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewe, and his family over the demise of his dear wife.
“We pray that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings, grants her Aljanah Firdaus, and gives the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement said.
